US FCC Order 05-153

In this Order, we conclude that the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) applies to facilities-based broadband Internet access providers and providers of interconnected voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service. Ha destato molto scalpore la diffusione del Finding of Facts (http://www.andremonti.net/dojvsms.zip) relativo alla nota vicenda che vede il Governo americano contestare giudizialmente alla Microsoft una serie di comportamenti monopolistici legati ad una oggettiva situazione di controllo del mercato e di scarsa tutela dei consumatori.
